Testimonials

Over the past several years, our School Music Rehearsal Camps have been held at The Priory, Beechworth. The location of the venue in respect to ease of getting there from Melbourne is ideal, an easy transport drive from our school.

The real asset of the venue is that it is totally indoors. If the weather is inclement, there are no wet or muddy shoes and clothing to deal with. The indoor areas are spacious so students never get cramped if weather keeps them inside. The numerous rehearsal rooms are large and acoustically generous. The close proximity (3 minute walk) the town of Beechworth gives great respite from the intense nature of music rehearsals.

The food and meal breaks are excellent, great ‘home made’ morning and afternoon snacks for the students and staff and no special dietary requirement is ever too much to cater for: Diabetic, Coeliac, Vegetarian or Vegan, Halal and no Pork requests have never been an issue. The students always comment on the great food. For senior students who need to complete there are very good study areas to isolate.

The most important thing always is the venue staff, the staff at The Priory are always available and always helpful to any requests that you make of them. I fully endorse this venue if you are looking for a great country music rehearsal camp venue.

The staff at the Old Priory are friendly, helpful, organised and take care of the many options available during the camp.  Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff, who are welcoming and very professional!

Bookings for excursions from the camp site are managed by the staff.  Students are cared for with regard to special dietary means and nothing is too much trouble.  The town's folk are extremely hospitable and the weather is always GREAT!!
